We are a collection of home groups located throughout the communities of Monroeville, Murrysville, Pitcairn, Wall, Trafford, Plum Borough, Delmont, and Harrison City. Located in and around Westmoreland County, approximately 20-30 miles east of Pittsburgh, there are an average of 4 meetings a day, 7 days a week.
WHere IS District 28?
AA is organized by Area, then District. Pennsylvania is made up of 2 areas - Area 59 and Area 60. Area 59 is the Eastern part of the state, and we are in Area 60, which makes up the western half of the state.
A District is a geographical division within an Area that provides an opportunity for the groups in that vicinity to have a voice in matter affecting other groups and A.A. as a whole. Each District has a District Committee that is made up of representatives from its many AA groups. These representatives are called General Service Representatives or G.S.R.s.
There are 41 districts in the Western Pennsylvania Area (Area 60). East Allegheny County and Central Westmoreland County make up District 28 of Area 60.
